april goals

It's April people!! I did really well on my March goals and I'm excited about a new month. We leave for our anniversary trip to Nashville on Thursday, what a great way to begin in April! I'm keeping my goals simple (some repetitive this month) and hoping to accomplish them all!

Here are my goals for April:

1) Spend time outdoors.

2) Take more pictures and video.

3) Run my 10k.

4) Add a piece of furniture or decor to our home.

5) Do more strength training, at least three times a week.

6) Read a new book.

What goals do you want to set and complete this month?

There's one more wonderful quality about spring that I forgot to mention-the outfit oxymoron's that somehow weirdly don't go together, but are totally acceptable (i.e. shorts and a sweater). But it works, it totally works. Let's take a short sleeve hoodie for example, I mean, what's that about, cold arms, warm head. But again, it's spring, so it's completely normal. Being able to wear a jacket with a short skirt doesn't get to happen often. We have a 4 week window where that's considered normal, after that you're a total freak, totally.

dress season

I have writers block today friends. I don't know what to say, but I do know this. Dresses for spring are always a good choice. I encourage you to focus on finding and investing in a variety of easy, versatile, dresses that you can wear all season long and throughout the summer as well. When I saw this dress during one of my weekly Target runs I fell in love with the cut. I love the length and that it can easily be worn for any occasion. This is what I mean when I say versatile. Sure, sequin dresses are fun and AH-mazing, but now's the time to find all the floral, striped, and tee shirt dresses that you can possibly get your hands on! You and your wardrobe will be glad you did.

stripes + stripes

I'm keeping this short and simple today. This weather is getting to me you guys! It's hot, then cold, then sunny, then raining and my brain, emotions, and closet JUST. CAN'T. HANDLE. IT. So this is the outfit that you get today, a bunch of stripes, frizzy hair and ashy, white legs. You are very welcome. I almost didn't use these photos, then I thought, what the heck this is life! Tomorrow's the official first day of spring and it better start acting like it.

spring fever

Spring fever has ensued. Thanks 70 degree weather. I'm just not convinced that sunny days are here to stay yet. It's always a tease, that Georgia weather. Besides the prime weather situation (obvi), there's one other thing I love about spring. Drum roll please.....flowers everywhere and anytime! Flowers in the morning, flowers in the evening, flowers at supper time. Bagel bites, anyone? Am I the only one that sadly has this 1990's Bagel Bites commercial engrained in my memory? Flowers in my house and on my body and my scarf, flowers are the best part of spring. And I'll leave you with that.

sunny vibes

Wowers. This is the first time my legs have seen the light of day in a long, long, long time. At least they're shaved, that's a W in my book. Well, winter does have one good quality- if you forget to shave your legs when it's below 30 degrees, so what. Now that it's getting warmer we actually have to tend to ourselves ladies... (Don't forget to wear sunscreen) Did I do a good job at sneaking that in? I care about your skin-okay. More sunny days are upon us friends and this girl is excited!
Confessions: Guys, I've been trying, even more so then usual, to only purchase items that I absolutely love and that fit into my closet. So there's going to be some older items and some repeating. I hope that's okay. Because let's be honest, I outfit repeat like crazy and sometimes shopping your own closet and wearing things you already have is fun! I encourage you to do the same. Kisses and hugs.
