a story

I feel like I haven't told an embarrassing story about myself in a long while. May I?

It all started when I decided to go running in town. When I go running in town, I have to drive there, park, and then run. Well I don't know if any of you have tried it, but, it's really hard to run with a million things strapped to you. So usually I lock up my phone, valuables, and then take my single car key off of the key chain and just bring that with me. I wedge it under my watch, it's super tight there so we're all good. Well, this particular day, I guess my key wasn't as secure as I thought. I ran 3 miles, then made it all the way back to my car. That's when I looked down and a panic overcame me. No key. No where. I calmed myself down and retraced my steps for about a half of a mile. Still no key. If you remember, I had locked my phone in the car, probably not the best choice. Yea, yea I know that now. Here I am trying to figure out what to do, and what do you know, the mail lady is driving right by me. After she so sweetly let me use her phone, I called my husband to tell him I'm a dummy and please come get me. Luckily, I had memorized his phone number in case of situations like this. Finally, my freaky, paranoia came in handy. Logan got there and we walked two more miles together searching for this key, which we never found! Ladies, if you ever want to trick your husband into taking a leisurely sunset walk in the freezing cold, this is a great method, although it has it's downfalls. Sometimes life is weird, right? And sometimes I do dumb things and my husband has to rescue me. Bless his soul.

  2. I don't run at the park, but I DO walk at the park (for the sake of this story I don't think the activity really matters), and I also lock up my things in my car. But I put a shoelace through the hole at the top of my key and then double tie my shoe. If your key has a hole, maybe you could try that in the future!
