be casual

This is what I like to call thought out casual. I definitely thought about this, if I didn't, you would know. Probably because I'd be wearing gym shorts that I pulled out the dirty hamper and a big t-shirt. For the record, I don't recommend casual that hasn't been thought about, if you are going to be seen by many. Although, I can't say I haven't done it. Last week actually. Do I say, not as I do.

pretty in pink

I bought this dress last year, and wore it as a bridesmaid in my friend's wedding. I love that I can actually wear it again! I feel so pretty and girly in this dress. The details and beading are amazing, it's perfect for a summer date night or even attending a wedding. Let me also mention that my mom made this clutch. Aren't mom's awesome? Happy Monday friends!

summer lovin'

If I had to pick one outfit to wear all summer, this would be in the top three. A bathing suite would be number one, no competition there. I bought these white shorts a few years ago and I still love them! This chambray is also an oldie, but a goodie. You really can't go wrong with a good chambray, I think we can all agree on that. Let's get to these shoes-yes, these shoes. I can hear your ooooo's and ahhhhhh's. So basically, here's the story and a little confession. I saw these shoes on Pinterest, stalked them out, for days. Don't act like you haven't done this before-I know you have.

cropped

I wore some version of this on our trip to Savannah this past weekend, except I also wore my trusty denim vest over it. We ate tacos, fried pickles, and pretzels with cheese, I needed a barrier for later that night to cover up all that food I was about to inhale. It worked beautifully; always think ahead ladies. Today, I was feeling a little more brave! So here I am. The key to doing a crop top well is keeping the showing skin to a minimum. Show just enough, but cover just enough to stay classy and mysterious. I beg you not to wear your shortest crop top with your lowest jeans! Not a good look for anyone, in my opinion. Keep it lady-like around here, folks.

tiny victory

I wore this outfit yesterday for a day with a friend in the city. It was perfect! It was super comfortable, not too hot, and I still felt totally put together. Word on the street was that there was 0% humidity yesterday! That's almost unheard of for summer in the south. It wasn't sticky and the weather was perfect for my trusty denim jacket. Tiny victories everywhere.

How perfect is this dress? The material is on point too! What I love most about it is, with a difference in styling, I can take it from season to season to season and it still works. A good black and white striped dress should be a staple in every girl's closet.
