cotton candy

Also, please take note of how my husband captured this leaf mid fall. Professional right there.

This morning my husband told me I looked like cotton candy, what he meant was..."you are so sweet, just like cotton candy!" Or he really meant cotton candy...which I'm also ok with. I'm also ok with eating cotton candy everyday and dressing like cotton candy everyday. Ok, now you know how much I love cotton candy or any candy for that matter! Welcome to my sweet life! ; )

I debated getting these jeans at first, back and forth, back and forth. My fear was that they'd look like capri's...which we DO NOT do anymore, ladies! Did you hear that?? No capri's...and especially no capri's with tennis shoes and crew socks. This is the perfect cropped jean! Too long to be a capri and too short to be a full on jean. I love them, I really do. Also, I asked both my husband and a co-worker if I looked like a giraffe today...I felt tall! So tall that I had a flash back of middle school, when I was taller then all the boys....some of them used to call me "giraffe Johnson." You know, it wasn't hurtful or anything, I just happen to remember that after all these years (right..). The difference is that, now I'm proud to be tall. What's the lesson learned here you ask...?? Embrace who YOU are.

I'm not a big chevron girl, but I am big on chambray. Almost everytime I go shopping I'm tempted to purchase another chambray...it's a real problem! So, today I thought I would mix the two and make them be friends. I thought it would be good for them to learn to love each other. I think it's working out pretty well, right?! We took big strides today y'all...big strides.

In celebration of Mother's Day today I decided to rock the "mom butt." No offense to all the mother's out there! These wonderful pants make my back side look extremely long....but, you know, I don't hate it! I mean, who doesn't love high waisted pants that could second as pajamas?? Besides the pants, the rest of this ensemble is pretty predictable, but I'm OK with that. Note: I did not wear these pants to bed tonight.

blue on blue

Hey there! So it has been a little bit since I've made a post, you can thank my mom for reminding me of that today. As always, life gets crazy, I run late every morning, don't wash my hair some days, or wear the same outfit two days in row, like I did this weekend. So now that we're back from a long weekend of filming a beautiful wedding, here's a post to start our week off right!

This top's pretty amazing, yea? It flows so nicely and I love the unexpected blue on blue combo. I'll be honest, I'm really over the hi-lo trend! It seems like everywhere I look something is high in the front and low in the back (I have my fair share of hi-lo items, don't get me wrong). What does a girl gotta do to get a same length clothing item these days; however, this was a dramatic take on the hi-lo trend that I was willing to try.....another good decision made!
